| Dr. Kliche's areas of expertise include Cloud Physics, Remote Sensing, Air Pollution and Scientific Analysis of Data. Her most resent research is related to raindrop size distribution functions and their applications to cloud microphysics simulation in mathematical models and radar rain-amounts retrieval algorithms. She has authored and coauthored papers dealing with the new approaches in determining the parameters describing the size distribution functions used in cloud models and remote sensing rain rate estimates. |

| Dr. Kliche joined the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T) in May 1994 as a research scientist in the Remote Sensing Group of the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences (IAS) until 1998. After the entire Remote Sensing Group moved to Huntsville, Alabama, between 1998 to 2000, Dr. Kliche took the responsibility of managing and developing the PRIME (Personalized Resources for Individualized Mathematics Education) program within the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department at SDSM&T. In 2000 she started to work for the T-28 storm penetration research program of the IAS, as a research scientist. While working for IAS, she finished her doctorate in Atmospheric, Environmental, and Water Resources (AEWR). Currently, she continues to work for the IAS as a research scientist and instructor. Dr. Kliche has assisted with the High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair, Engineers' Week and Women in Science and Engineering. She has taught Atmospheric Thermodynamics, College Physics, Satellite Remote Sensing, Climatology and Climate Change and Air Pollution. |
